Roshan Horo

Storyteller. Social thinker. Builder of ideas.

I am someone who believes stories can change the direction of a society.

My work stands at the intersection of culture, identity, social justice, media, and human dignity. Over the years, I have worked as a social activist, researcher, creative thinker, and communicator—learning not from textbooks alone, but from villages, people, struggles, and lived realities.

I am especially interested in questions that most people avoid:
Why do communities lose their identity?
Why does development often forget the people it is meant for?
And how can storytelling become a tool for change rather than just entertainment?

This website is not a finished portfolio. It is a living space where I am building my journey in public — as a writer, a thinker, a filmmaker in the making, and someone trying to create meaningful work that lasts beyond a single project.

What I Do

Social Work & Community Engagement
I work on issues related to land rights, forest rights, social justice, and the dignity of marginalized communities. My focus is not only activism, but also long-term thinking about how communities can grow without losing their identity.

Writing & Storytelling
I write poetry, reflections, and long-form ideas about society, identity, human emotions, and the future. My writing moves between personal experiences and larger social questions.

Learning & Building the Future
I am currently exploring new possibilities through research, storytelling, and technology. I believe the future will belong to people who can think deeply and express clearly — and I am working every day to become one of them.

Media, Ideas & Creative Work
I am deeply interested in media as a powerful tool — whether it is writing, visual storytelling, audio-visual work, or digital platforms. My goal is not just to create content, but to create meaning.

Entrepreneur
A community-driven enterprise empowering forest gatherers and farmers by ensuring fair trade, sustainable livelihoods, and cultural preservation through cooperative collaboration.
